Rules for carrying hand luggage in the cabin of Air China aircraft:

  • On all international flights, First and Business Class passengers are allowed two bags, each weighing no more than 8kg. Economy class passengers may carry one bag weighing no more than 5 kg.

Baggage rules

Free baggage allowance depends on the flight direction and class of service. There are two baggage allowance systems: weight concept and piece concept.

On all international flights, the weight of each bag of checked baggage must not exceed 32 kg. On all domestic flights, the weight of each bag of checked baggage must not exceed 45 kg.

Each bag of checked baggage must not exceed the maximum dimensions allowed: 100x60x40 cm. Baggage that does not meet the size and weight rules will be carried as cargo baggage.

The minimum permissible weight of each bag of checked baggage must not be less than 2 kg. The minimum dimensions of each bag of checked baggage must not be less than 30x20x10 cm.
