3. Installing mods for World of Tanks
A well-made modpack installer makes installing mods very simple. Launch the downloaded modpack and click the “Next” button several times until you reach the next window.
I recommend always leaving “Delete all installed mods”, then there will be no compatibility problems and everything will work stably. In the next window, accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
Usually the installer itself determines where the game is installed, but just in case, check that the path is correct. If there is an error, click the “Browse” button and specify the folder with the game.

5. Improved zoom
The default sight zoom values in the modpack are 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 25x. I experimented with different zoom values by adjusting the scope configuration and came to the conclusion that a 2x zoom is generally useless, since such magnification is never enough. The 25x zoom, on the contrary, has too much zoom and only confuses, since with such an increase the sense of the real distance to the target is lost. In addition, this number of zoom switches increases the aiming time.
I have determined that the best zoom values are 5x, 10x, 20x and I suggest you try these values, I think you will like it. I made a special file that needs to be run and installed in the mods folder:

For example, I have the game installed in the “GAMES” folder on drive “C” and the patch version is 0.9.12:

If you specified the folder correctly, a message should appear to confirm that you have replaced the file. Click Yes to All.

6. Player statistics
Player statistics are another powerful weapon for victory! Using statistics, you can determine how dangerous your enemy is and whether it is worth going after your ally. I adjusted some of the statistics mod files so that the player's efficiency rating is displayed above all tanks in battle.
Using these numbers you can determine how strong a player is. In addition, they are painted in different colors and there is no need to remember them.

I advise you to be extremely careful when dealing with blue and purple opponents and not rush into battle after red or orange ones. In order not to distract your attention in battle, do not look at these numbers in advance, but only when you encounter an enemy or are thinking about whether to go after an ally.
These numbers should not be taken literally. But if the probability of victory is 30%, the battle level is 10, and you are on a level 8 tank, then do not rush (attack), but rather take a defensive position and support your allies in the hottest spots.
If the probability of winning is 60-70% and you are in the top (top places in the list of teams), then you should not sit in the bushes, act more aggressively, but deliberately.
These statistics have more than once helped me make the right decisions in battle, and today I am sharing my settings with you. I made a special file that needs to be run and installed in the game folder:

After this, you need to activate statistics services.
7. Activation of statistics services
Due to the high load on the servers, a restriction on the use of statistics services was introduced. Now they need to be activated manually every 14 days, but this is done quickly and easily.
Enter your email and password that you use to enter the game, the numbers shown in the picture and click “Login”.
Click “Confirm” to return back to the statistics activation site.
For subsequent activations, access confirmation may no longer be required.
Click “Activate services” (or “Activate services”).
After that, go to the Settings menu and enable the desired options. The screenshot below highlights the options that are recommended to be enabled so that your statistics are displayed the same way as mine.
If everything is done correctly, then the next time you start the game, player statistics will begin to be displayed above the tanks and in the team lists. All you need to do is go to the website and click the “Activate services” link.
8. Removing mods
Don't worry about mods causing any problems in the game since they don't change the game files. But if problems arise, you want to install other mods, or you are simply tired of them, then you can always easily remove them.
Click the Start button, go to Control Panel and select Uninstall a program.
Find the modpack in the list, select it with the mouse and click “Delete”.
After this, all mods should be removed and the game will be pristine as before
To remove mods manually, go to the “World of Tanks\res_mods” folder and delete all folders and files except the folder with the latest patch number. The folder with the latest patch number should not be deleted, but go into it and delete all the files; the folder itself should remain empty.
As a result, in the “res_mods” folder you should have only one empty folder with the number of the latest patch.
9. Update
There have been some changes since this article was published.
To enable color indication depending on the player’s rating, when installing the modpack, check the following boxes:
