Delicious cheese flatbreads in 15 minutes. Cheese flatbreads

These flatbreads resemble pancakes in shape, pies in content, and hearty sandwiches in taste. This is an excellent office snack, an almost equivalent replacement for bread, and a full-fledged breakfast, comparable in nutritional value to a plate of hated oatmeal with milk. And a few more pleasant “bonuses” that can’t help but delight: the cheese flatbreads are prepared in 15 minutes, they turn out very juicy and crispy, and you can “squeeze” whatever filling you want into them.

To prepare you will need:

For the test:

The dough is very easy to knead and does not require rising or proofing. Warm the kefir a little. Pour into a deep bowl.

Add some salt.

Add sugar.

Stir with a whisk until the grains dissolve.

Place baking soda or baking powder in a bowl.

The contents of the bowl will immediately respond to the addition of alkali with a violent reaction.

Just during this time you will have time to grate a piece of cheese.

Add it to the bowl.

Sift the flour and add it to the rest of the ingredients.

Knead a loose, pliable and soft dough.

Roll the dough into a sausage. And then divide into equal koloboks. From this quantity of products I got 6 large cakes.

I baked flatbreads with meat and rice. But you can’t prepare such a filling quickly. I just had some leftover stuffing from stuffed pancakes, and I found a tasty use for it. Read about other options.

Roll out the dough ball into a small circle. Place 1-1.5 tablespoons of filling in the center.

Sometimes you need to cook something quickly for breakfast, or take a snack with you to work. Cheese scones help out. They cook quickly, are very tasty, and nutritious. There are different recipes and methods of preparing them, which can be found below.

  • soda, sugar, salt, half a teaspoon. l.;
  • a little oil for frying.

Kefir should be warm. Pour it into a bowl and add salt, soda, sugar, mix and leave for five minutes.

Advice! To quickly turn the cake over without breaking it, it is convenient to use a frying pan lid or do it with two spatulas.

We offer you a simple recipe on how to bake hearty and delicious cheese cakes in 15 minutes. Despite the short cooking time, the flatbreads turn out very juicy and crispy. Delicate taste of cheese and appetizing crust, what else is needed for an amazing treat.

Cooking time: 30 minutes. Servings: 6 flatbreads.

Products:

  • wheat flour (highest grade) – 300 gr.,
  • low-fat kefir 1% fat – 200 ml.,
  • hard Russian cheese – 100 gr.,
  • fine table salt – ½ tsp,
  • baking powder for dough – 1.5 tsp,
  • sunflower oil – 4 tbsp.

Making juicy and crispy cheese cakes

To begin, sift premium wheat flour through a strainer into a deep container. Pre-sifting will make the baked goods tender and airy.

Then add table salt, baking powder and cheese shavings. It is preferable to choose a high-quality type of cheese, then the baked goods will turn out juicier. You can replace the baking powder with baking soda slaked with table vinegar.

For those who love the unusual taste of flatbreads, we recommend using cheese with the addition of various fillings. Grate the cheese using a grater with large teeth. When adding cheese, you do not need to salt the dough. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Gently beat the dough using a whisk to form a liquid, homogeneous mass. Pour flour onto a board and begin to knead the dough until soft and pliable.

Roll the dough into a tight, even ball, cover with film and leave to rise for 15 minutes. Then we divide it into 5 identical parts, roll each ball with a rolling pin to a thickness of no more than 3 mm.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, lay out each flatbread, cover with a lid and fry over medium heat until blush appears. Homemade baked goods will bake better if you prick the cakes around the entire perimeter with a fork.

Fry the flatbreads in a frying pan quickly so as not to burn. Pour enough vegetable oil until it simmers around the cake.

Flavorful flatbreads made from cheese shavings are ready to eat. You can complement the dish with any toppings to your taste. Serve mayonnaise/sour cream with garlic and spices as a sauce. Cheese flatbreads are an excellent substitute for black and white bread. Bon appetit!

Cheese flatbreads in 15 minutes

5 (100%) 1 vote

When it’s hot, you don’t feel like baking bread at all, so we got hooked on simpler baked goods. Several times in a row I have made cheese cakes in 15 minutes - they turn out very juicy and crispy, with bubbles and a thin, appetizing crust. The dough is kneaded using kefir with the addition of grated cheese. This is a basic recipe for cheese scones that is very easy to customize and make with fillings. There are options for every taste: cottage cheese with herbs, potatoes with onions, minced meat, vegetables and so on. But I didn’t want to add anything; I make cheese cakes without filling and just fry them in a frying pan in oil.

You can serve cheese flatbreads with anything and everything. With tea and coffee, with broths and soups, instead of bread with vegetable salad.

Ingredients

To prepare cheese cakes in 15 minutes you will need:

  • wheat flour – 300 g;
  • low-fat kefir 1% - 200 ml;
  • hard cheese – 100 g;
  • salt – 0.5 tsp. (for saltier ones 1 tsp);
  • baking powder - 1.5 tsp;
  • Refined sunflower oil – 4-5 tbsp. l.

From this amount of products you will get six pieces.

How to make cheese scones in 15 minutes. Recipe

I measure out 250 grams of flour and sift it into a deep bowl. A little more, about a handful (50-70 grams), will be needed for adding while kneading the dough. I also sift this flour, but into a separate container.

I add table salt. When I made it the first time, I put in half a spoon, according to the recipe. It was not enough for our taste; the flatbreads with cheese turned out a bit bland. Next time I added a spoon without a slide - it was just right. But I think it also depends on the taste of the cheese. I took “Russian” - not salty and not sour.

Add baking powder and mix all dry ingredients. You can add soda - slaked or not, at your discretion. But soda needs to be mixed with kefir, and then added to the rest of the ingredients.

I grate a piece of cheese through a coarse grater. Absolutely any cheese is suitable, except processed cheese. It works great with pickled cheeses, tastier than with hard ones.

Advice. If you make flatbreads with feta cheese, grate them on the finest grater and add almost no salt to the dough.

I mix cheese shavings with flour, even grind them a little. The mixture will become heterogeneous, crumbly, with lumps - this is how it should be.

I have liquid kefir, 1%. Without heating, I pour it into the dough and immediately begin to mix vigorously with a spoon.

The dough for cheese scones will be sticky, tough, very viscous. Do not rush to add flour - the consistency will become denser during kneading.

I pour the reserved flour onto the board, dump out the dough and start kneading with my hands. Everything is as usual when working with dough: I roll it, knead it, fold it, roll it again. The dough will not take a lot of flour. Very quickly the bun will become soft and pliable.

Don't try to knead it until smooth. It takes me about five minutes maximum. As soon as you can collect it into a ball, I transfer it to a bowl and leave it for 15 minutes under the film.

After proofing, I slightly roll the dough, stretching it into a thick sausage. This makes it easier to divide into pieces.

I cut the sausage into six almost identical pieces, the outer ones turned out a little smaller.

First, I knead the pieces in my palms and make round cakes. Then I put it on a board (I lightly dust it with flour) and roll it out with a rolling pin. Not subtle! The thickness is about 1.5-2 cm.

Be sure to prick with a fork on one side, otherwise when frying the cheese cakes will swell and brown only at the edges.

I pour enough oil so that the bottom of the pan is covered by 0.5-1 cm, and I don’t leave any dry areas. Skimping will cause the cakes to burn and not rise well. I'm posting one at a time. I fry for two or three minutes, medium heat. The cakes begin to increase in size and become fluffy.

Advice. Watch the amount of oil; it should simmer around the cake, browning on the bottom and along the edges.

I pry it with a spatula and check how brown the bottom is. If it’s enough, I turn it over. The second side is fried for the same amount of time until golden brown.

I transfer the hot, scalding flatbread to a plate lined with a napkin - let the excess oil go away. And the next one goes into the frying pan.

Video recipe for which you can prepare cheese cakes in 15 minutes:

If you are reading this now, then you already understand that you are visiting the author’s culinary site. Greetings! I hope we will become friends and you will become a frequent guest. Personally, I really want this. After all, it was for this purpose that I created this site. I'm not a cooking guru, I don't presume to talk about people's tastes. I'm just someone who learns, shares what I've learned and tries to express myself in this way. It's nice to know that my culinary recipes, accompanied by delicious photographs, can make you want to repeat them, cook the same thing for yourself, thereby giving yourself and your loved ones a little joy.

How often do we cook? Everyone is different, but on average often, even very often. Every day. And sometimes not even once a day. Food is an integral part of our lives, you can’t argue with this statement. There was a time when I didn’t know how to cook anything other than boiled potatoes and pasta, and believe me, that was more than fine with me at that time. But then children appeared, life changed its pace, a desire arose to learn new things and learn interesting things, to bring joy. And what could be easier than to please your loved ones with delicious food? So that everyone licks their fingers and asks for more :) And so began my journey of mastering home cooking, which continues to this day and, I think, has no end.

Of course, everyone has different tastes, including in food. But there are dishes that are tasty, if not to everyone, then to the majority. I have always been interested in such dishes. I also always thought it was important not to spend a lot of time preparing food. That is, to cook, and even tasty, but at the same time with minimal loss of time and effort. It turns out that this happens. And in my opinion, this is exactly how cooking homemade food should be. So that it doesn’t tire you, so that it’s always interesting, fun, and playful. Without fear that it won't work out. These are the recipes I collect here, gladly sharing them with you. I have tried all these recipes more than once. I confess to you that not all the recipes I prepared were given the honor of being published on the site. And that’s normal, it’s like that in everything in life.

My children’s tastes play a big role in choosing recipes for everyday cooking. I focus on them, because they are my biggest admirers and “praisers.” It's very nice when you like your food. I also want to point out the fact that even the simplest and most primitive recipe for a dish can be presented in such a way that everyone will immediately want to eat it. Submission is very important, especially since it doesn’t require much effort. I’m not encouraging you to repeat my recipes, but I suggest you try to do the same at least once, maybe you’ll like it :)
